Uyuni Salt Flat Tour 2 Days – 1 Night (Coquesa)
Uyuni Salt Flat to visit the Incahuasi Island; this island is located in the heart of the salt flat and is the greatest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high, providing an impressive overview. Box Lunch. The trip continues towards Coquesa village. Ascend the Tunupa Volcano to visit the Coquesa Mummies.
Arrive and transfer to the town of Uyuni to start the tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats. We will visit the Train Cemetery, then continue to the indigenous community of Colchani to see the production of iodised salt in its rustic form. We enter the vast white deserts with typical scenes of salt extraction as mounds of salt, salt eyes and the first salt hotel, now a museum. Lunch and transfer to the village of Coquesa. Dinner and overnight in Tambo Coquesa Lodge.
Breakfast in the hotel. We visit Sajchilla Island with millenary cactus, a site still unexplored where we will take a walk of about 20 minutes. Lunch. We then visit Incahuasi Island, a typical place where we can find giant cactus in a habitat of volcanic rock. Return to Uyuni and transfer to the airport.
