Day 01: Arrival

Arrival in Lima reception and tranafer to your hotel. Free day at leisure.

Day 02: Lima – Paracas – Ballestas Islands – Nazca

Early morning transfer to the station to take the bus from Lima to Paracas. You will be met at the bus station in Paracas and taken to the port to begin the boat trip to the Ballestas Islands. This group of islands is home to a great number of marine birds like gannets, gulls, cormorants, Humboldt penguins, etc. It is also the habitat of marine animals such as sea lions, dolphins, etc. During the tour you can see the mysterious figure of the Paracas named Candelabro, a design drawn on the slope of a sand dune.

Afterwards, around 10.30am, we will visit the National Reserve of Paracas, a protected area and a resting place for migratory birds that come from the north and the south. We will visit the Interpretation Centre which has interesting explanations of the biodiversity and the dangers that this zone faces. The Julio C. Tello site museum has a permanent exhibition of artefacts from Paracas culture that were found in cemeteries in the area.

At Lagunillas beach you can see rock formations, the Otuma salt lake and a viewpoint to see flamingos. Along the way you can feel the presence of the Andean condor which inhabits the hills of the reserve.
After lunch, we take the bus to Nazca. At your arrival in Nazca, recpetiojn and transfer to your hotel.

Day 03: Overflight Nazca Lines

Breakfast. Transfer to Nazca airodrome. In the waiting room you will be shown a video explaining each of the figures found at this site whilst you wait for your flight. At the indicated time you will fly over the Nazca lines and see the famous figures like the whale, triangles, trapezoids, the astronaut, the monkey, the spider, the hummingbird, the condor, etc.
Lunch. Bus back to Lima and transfer to your hotel.

Day 04: Lima-Cusco city tour

Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cusco (flight tickey not included), our representative will be waiting for you at Cusco airport to welcome you and transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon you will visit the city and its principal attractions: the Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), Cusco Cathedral, the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. Return to your hotel.

Day 05: Cusco – Machu Picchu

Early in the morning, transfer to the station to take the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu village) where our representative will assist you to take the bus tothe entrance of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Almost a century after its archaeological discovery, thanks to recent studies of archives from the XVI century, there is good evidence to suggest that the citadel of Machu Picchu was like the pyramids of the pharaohs in Egypt or the tomb of emperor Chin Shi Huan in China, a luxurious and well-kept mausoleum for Inca Pachacuteq, founder and first emperor of Tahuantinsuyo.

After the tour you will have free time to explore the citadel on your own. The you will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes to have lunch. Later return to Cusco by train and transfer to your hotel.

Day 06: Cusco

Free day at leisure . We recommend visit museums, craft centers, etc.

Day 07: Cusco-Lima city tour

Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Lima (flight tiket not included). At your  arrival in Lima our representative will be waiting for you, reception and transfer to your hotel. Free morning.
In the afternoon we will visit the main attractions of the city of Lima, the Paseo de la Republica, San Martin square, the main square, the Episcopal Palace, the Santo Domingo Convent and the old colonial houses of Lima.

Day 08: Lima – flight back home

Transfer from your hotel to the airport to take your flight back home.
