COVID 19 – UPDATE
At the moment, all journeys that have been scheduled with PERU AGENCY up to the end of June have been postponed. We will continue to monitor the situation and share any updates as and when we can.
If you have a trip booked and were due to travel before the 30th June, we will be in touch to discuss the best options for you.
If you have a trip booked for after this date and wish to reschedule it, we can do this for you up to 45 days before your departure date. We are committed to being as flexible as possible in rescheduling your trip or modifying your existing itinerary. In the event that we have already made arrangements with our service providers that cannot be changed, our cancellation policy will apply.

Can I make a reservation to Travel in 2020/2021?

We have frozen our rates for bookings that are confirmed before the 30th December 2020, for trips before 31st December 2021. 10% discount included on all our packages.If you are considering travelling as a group of 8 or more people, the ninth passenger is free.
Lastly, we are pleased to inform you that the Peruvian government will allow free entry to Machu Picchu for under 18s and over 60s.

Iquitos Amazon Rainforest 5 Days – 4 Nights
Iquitos is part of the Amazonian Forest of Peru in South America, considered one of the main natural reserves of the world and a paradise for Eco tourism. “A few hectares of Peruvian Amazon Rainforest can contain as many plant species as the whole of Europe”. Explore with us the wonders and adventures in the forest; our tourist lodges, guided visits, exotic animals and native communities, through our tour packages. Cumaceba Lodge, a 100% ecological built jungle lodge on the Amazon River, is one of the best nature travel destinations in the world.

Pick up from the airport or your hotel.
City tour of the principal attractions of Iquitos: the Main Square, the Catholic Cathedral, the cast iron house built by Eiffel, the Boulevard. Visit the Municipal Museum.
Note: Please note that the City Tours may take place on the final day of the tours and not the first day depending on the flight arrival time of the passenger).
We board the boat for the trip up the Nanay and Momon rivers (Note: It is quite possible that you will share the boat trip with other passengers who are entering the lodge at the same time). Visit to the Serpentarium to see snakes and other exotic animals.
Upon arrival at the Lodge we are warmly greeted with a welcome drink made of local tropical fruits. Free afternoon to enjoy the facilities at the lodge such as the large swimming pool, the water slide and the Jacuzzi. You could also go to the top of our two towers to enjoy the view, or alternatively just relax on the balcony overlooking the Momon river to watch the boats sailing by and observe the birdlife. Our guide fascinates us with tales of the jungle.
Early in the morning, after having breakfast (optional), we leave at the crack of dawn for an hour long canoe ride upriver to enjoy the great variety of bird life. Hike through the jungle to explore the rainforest.
Visit to the small villages of Gen Gen and Centro Fuerte to learn their customs and habits.
Visit the Botanical Garden, “Chullachaki”. Visit the Alamas Indigenous Tribe.
Night tour in a canoe to see and hear the sounds of the night animals
Take a hike to the “trapiche” where you will taste delicious sugarcane liquor. Visit Piranha Park, to see five lakes containing piranhas and crocodiles. Fishing to harvest the abundant variety of fish in the river.

Full Day in the Nanay and Amazon rivers. Visit to Barrio Florido, where we will see Victoria Regia (The world’s largest flower water) and a collection of lizards and “paiche” fish. Visit to Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm. After our adventure we head back to the Lodge to spend the night.
We have a musical jungle jam session using a variety of local acoustic instruments.
Visit the Boras Indigenous Tribe. We return to the city of Iquitos. Observation of the meeting of the waters of the Nanay and Momon Rivers. Boat ride along the Itaya river.
Quistococha Zoo and Lake. The floating city of Belen, also known as the Venice of the Jungle. Then transfer to the airport. End of our services.
