Arrival in Lima. Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon, we will start the tour with a panoramic view of the “Pyramid Pucllana”, a magnificent ceremonial and archaeological centre, built in the fourth century AD and considered a “sacred village” by the Incas.
We continue to the Historical Center of Lima, where you can see more than fifty colonial buildings and monuments, such as the Paseo de la Republica, San Martin Square, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral, and the City Hall among others.
We visit the CENTRAL BANK MUSEUM, where you can see the “Treasures of Peru” collection, a fine selection of gold objects, ceramics and textiles of various pre-Columbian cultures. We can also visit the great complex of San Francisco, which is the largest exhibition of colonial religious art in America. A visit to its catacombs, the subterranean crypts, is particularly worthwhile.
Then we will visit the most traditional residential areas of Lima; El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.
Our culinary adventure begins in a typical Peruvian market. Here you can see a variety of Peruvian products and enjoy unique fruits like chirimoya, lucuma, aguaymanto and pacae.
Then, we will then visit an exclusive restaurant, where you will learn how to prepare the famous “Pisco Sour”, the national drink of Peru, and the delicious and unique “Ceviche”. After enjoying a delicious lunch, you will have the chance to try the most representative dishes of Peruvian cuisine. Transfer back to your hotel. Free afternoon-.
