Uyuni Salt Flats 2 days – 1 night

In rainy season from November to March, the salt flat could be flooded in that case passengers will visit the train cemetery, the Colchani village where it is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand. Visit the salt eyes, impressive for its geology and cross the salt flat as much as possible to enjoy a beautiful landscape. The entire salt flat is completely covered with water and it becomes in a white giant mirror where the sky is reflected perfectly and everything seems to be floating in the air.



Day 01: Trnsfer In + Uyuni Salt Flats

Arrive and transfer to the town of Uyuni to start the tour of the Uyuni Salt Flats. We will visit the Train Cemetery, then continue to the indigenous community of Colchani to see the production of iodised salt in its rustic form. We enter the vast white deserts with typical scenes of salt extraction as mounds of salt, salt eyes and the first salt hotel, now a museum. We visit Sajchilla Island with millenary cactus, a site still unexplored where we will take a walk of about 20 minutes. We continue to Coquesa, located at the foot of Tunupa Volcano, and explore the surroundings where we can see the famous pink flamingos. Lunch. In the afternoon we return to Uyuni visiting Incahuasi Island, a typical place where we can find giant cactus in a habitat of volcanic rock. Overnight.


Day 02: Transfer Out

Breakfast in the hotel. Transfer to the airport to catch your flight to La Paz.
