Our excursion shows Lima’s impressive Historical Center in detail, presenting its most emblematic attractions such as Grau Square, San Martín Square, the French Palace, Lima Cathedral, the Archbishops Palace, Desamparados Train Station, amongst others.
One of the largest water shows in South America, the Magic Water Circuit is an extravaganza of water displays, light, lasers, images and music that must be seen to be believed. It takes place across a complex of several large fountains that shoot water into the air, impressing spectators of all ages
A great way to enjoy Lima and its history, our excursion offers Lima’s best attractions from three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern.
ANCESTRAL LIMA: We start our tour with a panoramic view of the Pucllana Pyramid, “Huaca Pucllana”, a magnificent ceremonial center built in the 4th century a.d. and considered a sacred village by the Incas.
COLONIAL LIMA: The Viceroyalty of Perú was the most important of the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital. We visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you can see more than fifty colonial buildings and monuments, such as Paseo de la República, San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral, and the City Hall amongst others.
We visit the MUSEUM OF THE CENTRAL RESERVE BANK, where you can see the “Treasures of Peru” collection, a fine selection of gold objects, ceramics and textiles of various pre-Columbian cultures. We can also visit the great complex of San Francisco, which is the largest exhibition of colonial religious art in America. A visit to its catacombs, the subterranean crypts, is particularly worthwhile.
Then we will visit the most traditional residential areas of Lima; El Olivar de San Isidro, Miraflores and Larcomar.
