Pomacochas

Pomacochas locality is 84 km to the north of Chachapoyas city (3 hours in car) from where walk 1 km to arrive the lagoon (15 minutes on foot). Pomacochas has 2858 meters in length, 2440 meters wide and is located to 2150 m.a.s.l. Their waters come from underground currents and own a dark green color in the deep part (80 meters). Within the flora the totora can be observed, carricillo and the tail of fox. Its fauna counts birds like the herons, the buergueras and the zambullidores.
